Pitch Submission Terms

How we treat your pitch deck, your IP, and your information.

Last updated: March 1, 2026

TL;DR

  • Your IP stays 100% yours
  • We don't sign NDAs (industry standard)
  • Your deck is seen only by our investment team
  • We never share materials with competitor companies
  • You can request deletion anytime

1. Your idea is yours

Submitting a pitch deck does not transfer any intellectual property, ownership, or rights from you or your company to VestedVC.

We do not claim, monetize, or use your concept independently. Your IP — including business plans, models, code descriptions, and trade secrets — remains your sole property.

2. Why we don't sign NDAs

Like nearly all venture capital firms, VestedVC does not sign non-disclosure agreements at the pitch stage. Three reasons:

(1) We see hundreds of pitches monthly across overlapping markets. NDAs create unmanageable conflict risk. (2) Concepts alone are rarely defensible — execution is. (3) Industry practice and our reputation, not legal documents, are what keep your information safe.

If your idea cannot be discussed without an NDA, the early-stage VC funding path may not be the right fit.

3. How we handle your pitch

Pitch materials are accessible only to:

• VestedVC partners and investment team members reviewing the opportunity

• Operating advisors we explicitly bring in for technical due diligence (with your consent for sensitive topics)

• Authorized external counsel during deal documentation

Materials are stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems. We do not share pitch materials with our limited partners (LPs), other founders, or competitors of your business.

4. Competitive deals

We invest in many AI sectors. It's possible we evaluate or have invested in companies adjacent to or potentially competitive with yours. Where this is the case:

• We will not share your specific materials, strategy, or roadmap with competitor companies.

• If we identify a direct conflict during review, we will tell you and either decline or pause the process.

• Investment team members with direct competitor exposure are excluded from your evaluation.

5. Data storage and retention

Pitch materials are retained for our internal records for up to 5 years after our final decision. This helps us track patterns, recognize repeat founders, and improve our process.

You may request deletion of your submission at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete or anonymize records within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fund-administration audits.

6. Introductions to other investors

With your explicit permission, we may introduce you to other investors better suited to your stage or sector. We will never share your materials with a third-party investor without first asking you.

7. Use of AI tools in our review

We use AI tools to help with administrative tasks — for example, summarizing public information about a sector or transcribing notes from calls.

We do not use your pitch materials to train any third-party AI model. Any internal use of AI on submitted materials is strictly for evaluation purposes only.

See our AI Use Policy for full details.

8. No obligation, no implied investment

Submission of a pitch does not constitute an offer or obligation by VestedVC to invest, respond, or take any action.

Equally, our review does not constitute investment advice, an endorsement, or a guarantee of confidentiality beyond what is described here.

Either party may withdraw from discussions at any time before a signed term sheet.
